Head of Finance and Accounting

LEADERSHIP ROLE

• Manage through ambiguity and be flexible in a startup environment.

• Guide current department staff (20+ staff including Accounting Manager), initiating best practice policies and taking the lead in administering the Company’s corporate matters.

• Establish benchmark and profitability metrics and provide executive updates as needed.

ACCOUNTING RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the Accounting Department and guide current staff, including its Assistant Manager, to ensure that all transactions within the Company are properly documented, and appropriately recorded in the accounting system

• Ensure that the Chart of Accounts are properly maintained
  Accounts payable, receivables and accruals are recorded and updated
  Bank accounts and petty cash reconciliations are completed in a timely manner
  Inventory, fixed asset are properly recorded
  Costs are properly allocated.

• Work closely with the Company’s advisors, regulators and auditors to meet accounting standards.

FINANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead a finance team to implement best practice processes within the Company to ensure proper documentation trail, approval chain hierarchy, and payment authorization.

• Work with advisor and C-Level management

• Prepare and implement Company policies and procedures for revenue reconciliation, and procure-to-pay process.

• Ensure proper administration of the Company’s legal agreements, regulatory and tax compliance, and any other corporate matters

• Assist C-Level management to review & develop budgets, financial projections, including project feasibility studies as needed.
